Education: Masters degree in Architecture from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran

Marital Status: Married to “Zahra Rahnavard”, ex-rector, journalist and author of many books

Mirhossein Mousavi is an Iranian painter, architect and politician who was the Prime Minister of Iran from 1981 to 1988, at the time of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's presidency. He was the last prime minister of Iran before the change in the constitution which removed the post of prime minister. In the early years of the Islamic Republic, Mousavi was the editor of the official newspaper of the Islamic Republic Party, the Jomhouri-e Eslami (Islamic Republic) newspaper. He was also the top consultant to Iran’s ex-president Mohammad Khatami. Currently, He is the president of Iranian Academy of Arts and he is also a member of the Expediency Discernment Council and the High Council of Cultural Revolution He is very well known for his great financial crisis management during Iran-Iraq war
